Looking to expand their business the Lazos family opened Brookside Pizza II in Belmont NH in 1998.
After 3 years with 2 locations the Lazos family was ready for a much needed and well deserved
extended break. At the same time Christine Rudolph who had been working in the letter-shop
industry since age 14, was looking for a career change. Her last 13 years in that industry was
spent managing 3 shifts of operations (talk about stress, LOL). Born and raised in Brooklyn N.Y.
Christine relocated to N.H. in 1984. While living in the Loudon/Canterbury area she and her
husband Frank met Billy and Sandy when they opened the original Brookside Pizza. In 1999 Christine
joined forces with the Lazos family and began to learn the business. One year later Christine
relocated to the Belmont location and began to settle in. Soon after, Billy and Sandy took that
extended break to re-coupe and Christine worked diligently toward establishing a business with a
good reputation and a solid team. In 2003, when Christine was offered partnership in the business
she jumped at the opportunity, by then customers had become more than just customers and her
children were well underway in learning the business. Now most days you will find her boys Michael
and David and daughter in-law Justine, as well as, the rest of our crew hustling out the good food
that Brookside has become known for. In April 2007 Brookside Pizza II opened "The Tap Sports Bar". Even though getting things ready to open as quickly as possible had its stressful moments we also had a lot of fun, especially when the locals would show up to help. Wanting to provide our customers & friends with a comfortable atmosphere for them to enjoy time with their friends & family was our goal and we feel we have accomplished just that. Unfortunately, January 2009 our business was forced to shut down for a period of time do to a break in the sprinklers water main. As devastating as this was, it did give us the opportunity to reorganize our space to improve our flow of service. With the encouragement and help from our community and loyal crew we were able to reopen our business in May 2009. With what we hope is our worst experience behind us we now can look forward to servicing our customers and participating in our community. Our utmost appreciation goes out to our customers, friends and crew members. It is because of all of you that our business which is the lively hood of most of us here at the Belmont location continues to succeed. We Thank You and promise to continue to provide you with our best possible service.
